Take A Look - Melbourne Fashion Week 2023

The annual Melbourne Fashion Week took place from 23rd - 29th October and as usual it did not disappoint. With an array of fashion brands sending their creations down the runway, spectators had the chance to see the latest trends and designs from some of Australia’s most iconic labels.

The Commons Collecting Runway showcased brands such as Ginger & Smart, OnceWas and Van Der Kooij.

The Ganbu Marra Runway showcased increddible First Nations labels such as Ginny’s Girl Gang, Kamara Australia and Ticia Designs.

The Underground Runway housed brands such as Erik Yvon and Toile Studios who focused on underground and Y2K culture.

Finally, the Highrise Runway saw brands like Ansdorff, Blanca and Oroton take the catwalk.

One of the most exciting parts of any fashion week is the range of fashion showcased outside the runway with spectators displaying their unique style on the streets.

Vogue offered a wonderful wrap up of the best street styles from M/FW with a huge nod to 90s and Y2K nostalgia.

With all this being said, Toowoomba Fashion Festival aims to secure itself as a destination fashion event much like that of M/FW, by showcasing a delicious range of creatives and designers from the Darling Downs region. The culture within Toowoomba is fresh and exciting and the creativity emerging from this area of Australia is second to none and we are anticipating a incredible event for spectators and participants alike.
